Coming soon: the iFilePost review reply Chrome extension
We’re building a Review Reply Chrome Extension to make drafting replies faster for local business owners. It is in development and not available yet. There is no install link on this page because there is nothing to install today.
In the meantime, our free web-based generators do the same core job: you enter the review details, choose a tone, and copy a personalized draft.
What we plan to include
These are the features we are working toward. Details may change before release.
- Reply drafts in your browser: generate a reply draft without switching tabs, using the same phrase-variant approach as our web tools.
- Tone choices: warm, professional, short, and apologetic.
- Rating-aware drafts: different structures for positive, mixed, and negative reviews.
- Regenerate and copy: get a new variation with one click, then copy it.
- Private by design: drafts created locally, with no account required.
- You stay in control: the extension will not post replies automatically. You review and post every reply yourself.
Why we’re building it
Many owners reply to reviews in short bursts between customers. Opening a separate tab, typing the details, and copying the draft back works, but it adds steps. An extension can shorten that loop by keeping the draft panel next to the review you are answering.
We are taking our time to get the basics right: clear drafts, simple controls, and no access to more data than the extension needs.
What it will not do
- It will not post, edit, or delete reviews or replies on your behalf.
- It will not ask for your Google password.
- It will not generate reviews or help with anything that breaks Google’s review policies.

Can I install the extension now?
No. It is still in development. Any store listing claiming to be the iFilePost extension before we announce it here is not ours.
Will it be free?
Our goal is to keep it free, like the rest of the iFilePost toolkit. We will confirm the details at launch.
Will it use AI?
The plan is to use the same template-based approach as our web generators, combining hand-written phrases with your inputs.
What should I use until it launches?
Use the web-based review reply generators linked above. They are free, need no signup, and store nothing on a server.
