iFilePost Editorial Team·Last updated October 17, 2026

Effective date: October 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how iFilePost.com (“iFilePost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit our website, use our free online tools, or install the iFilePost Review Reply Chrome Extension. We wrote it in plain language so you can understand what happens to the information you share with us.

By using the site or our tools, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

Text You Enter Into Our Tools

Our tools, including the Google Review Reply Generator, the 5 Star and 1 Star Review Reply Generators, the Review Request SMS and Email Generators, and the Local Business Reputation Audit, need some input to work. This can include review text, a star rating, your business type, a business name, a customer’s first name, or a business listing you want audited.

We process this text to create the draft or audit result you requested. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you. Some processing may be handled by service providers, such as AI text-generation or data providers, that act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your input for their own marketing.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information, such as health details, financial account numbers, or a customer’s full contact information. Reply drafts rarely need this information, and leaving it out protects you and your customers.

Information You Send Us

If you use the form on our contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. We use this only to respond to you and to improve the site.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it, such as city or state
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, tools used, referring pages, and time spent on the site
  • Error logs and performance data that help us fix problems

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Generate the drafts, messages, and audit results you request
  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website and tools
  • Understand which tools and articles are useful so we can improve them
  • Respond to questions, feedback, and bug reports
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent use
  • Comply with legal obligations

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember basic preferences, and measure how visitors use our pages. We may use an analytics service, such as Google Analytics, that collects usage data through cookies and reports it to us in aggregate form.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Some features may not work as intended if you block all cookies. Our cookie policy describes the types of cookies we use in more detail.

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third parties to run the site. These providers may receive limited information as needed to perform their services:

  • Hosting and content delivery: our hosting provider stores site files and processes requests, which includes receiving your IP address.
  • Analytics: analytics providers help us measure traffic and tool usage.
  • Google Fonts: when fonts load from Google’s servers, Google may receive your IP address and browser information.
  • AI and data processing: providers that help generate drafts or gather public business information for the reputation audit.
  • Advertising: we may display ads from advertising networks, which can use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where we do, you can manage personalized ads through the network’s settings or industry opt-out tools such as those offered by the Digital Advertising Alliance.

These providers have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party websites you reach through links on our site.

Review Reply Chrome Extension

The iFilePost Review Reply Chrome Extension helps you generate reply drafts while you manage your Google Business Profile. To do that, it reads review content on the page only when you ask it to create a reply, and it sends that review text and your chosen settings to our servers to produce a draft.

  • The extension does not collect your browsing history outside the pages it is designed to work on.
  • It does not read or store your Google account password.
  • It does not post replies on your behalf. You review and publish every reply yourself.
  • It may store basic preferences, such as preferred tone, locally in your browser.

We use extension data only to provide and improve the reply feature, and we do not sell or transfer it for unrelated purposes. You can remove the extension at any time from your Chrome extensions page, which stops any further data collection.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only:

  • With service providers that help us operate the site, under obligations to protect it
  • When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of iFilePost, our users, or others
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required

If we display personalized advertising, the use of advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. California residents can opt out as described below.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you certain rights regarding your personal information, subject to legal exceptions:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to
  • Right to delete personal information we collected from you
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, although we do not intentionally collect it
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

To make a request, use the form on our contact page and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will verify your request using the information you provide and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. We also honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights. Contact us and we will respond in line with applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

iFilePost is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Text entered into our generators is processed to create your draft and is not kept in a way that is linked to your identity, although limited logs may be retained for a short period for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s settings.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid entering sensitive information into any online tool.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our tools, service providers, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be highlighted on the site. Continued use of iFilePost.com after an update means you accept the revised policy.
